These two medicals are very similar. They are normally valid for 2 years. We will routine check photographic ID so please bring at least one form of photo ID. We currently charge £130 for these medicals and an additional £50 if a Chester Step Test is required. Drugs and alcohol testing is available on request.
Your medical will require a urine sample and a check of your vision – if you wear glasses please bring these with you, if you wear contact lenses please be prepared to remove these.
If you have any ongoing medical conditions such as diabetes please bring recent medical reports such as recent blood test results or specialist letters.
The RUK medical is specifically for wind turbine workers and included a formal fitness test – the Chester Step Test. Please come prepared for moderate exercise. If you are obese or older you are unlikely to pass this test if you have not being been actively maintaining your fitness.
Starting in 2023 I will be required to obtain your records from your previous issuing Doctor so please be prepared to provide us with contact information well in anticipation of your medical.
